Description
Early morning, at almost 11,000ft. The alarm went off at midnight, fellow photographer Michael Van Beber and I , headed into the Indian Peaks Wilderness, hiked up to a locations above Blue Lake, in time for the sunrise. I call this one breathless, cause of how hard I was breathing, to get to this point. The sunrise did not disappoint us, beautiful as always, slowly revealing to us, the scenic landscape of Colorado. If you look closely at the horizon, the purple line, is the Eastern plains of Colorado.

I can feel the cool morning air and sense of awe in this landscape Steven. Beautifully captured and presented.

All that hiking and getting up Before the crack of dawn is worth it - your sunrise photos are amazing! Love the small rock perched on top of the large boulder - very Zen. Wonderful how you have captured so much detail in the shadows as well as the striking colors of the light in the sky - skillfully done and beautifully seen.

Must have been breathtaking to witness in person. A beautiful sunrise atmosphere, Steven.
