Description
The Milky Way makes it's appearance next to the Turrant Arch in Arches National Park, Utah, usa. We put a couple small red lamps to light up the arch. It was invisible to the naked eye, but the camera still picks up the red glow.

Outstabnding night photography and creative lighting Steven. This makes me want to be standing in that peaceful solitude of the desert southwest at night.

What a magnificent image of the Milky Way and the Arches landscape. Spectacular night and celestial photography, Steven.

Very cool! I've read a lot about using the red lights while viewing the night sky nd how they prevent the light pollution that makes viewing difficult. Interesting how the camera does pick them up though. Beautiful and very moving image, Steven!
Steven Reed replied:
Thank you Lee, we were so surprised at how much red the camera picked up that was not visible to the naked eye! It was great to be able to light up the arch, knowing we were not interfering any of else's enjoyment of viewing the arch at night.
